Mana Telugu

The soon to be launched ‘Mana Telugu’ Global Telugu TV channel is the ‘First-of-its-Kind’ completely ‘Free-To-View’ TV channel for Telugu speaking NRIs (non resident Indians) around the world.

According to K. Anil Kumar, a representative of ‘Mana Telugu’:
Based on our initial research and survey, we have found that over 12 million telugu speaking NRIs residing in different parts of the Globe are craving for a exclusive Telugu TV channel which not only entertains them but equally provides them with valuable information, regional touch and flavour viz, discussing NRI issues, re-settlement issues, immigration issues, how to safe-guard Indian values in foreign land, travels, opportunities, threats they face in their country and so on. Hence, they require a Telugu TV channel which entertains them and at the same time provides regional flair, fun and flavour of the resident country with certain programs specifically made for UK-Europe viewers, USA viewers, South Africa, UAE, Middle-East, Fareast, Trinidad etc.

This is wonderful news for Telugus everywhere. To learn more about Mana Telugu, visit their website.

Books: The History of Telugu Film Producers

Source: Chennai Online

"In the good old days, it was producers who dominated the film world. Now it is the stars and directors who are virtually ruling the film industry. Katragadda Murari has brought out a book on Telugu film producers, 'Telugu Chalana Chitra Nirmatala Charithra' (The History of Telugu Film Producers). As a producer, Murari made successful films like 'Sitarama Kalyanam', 'Nari Nari Naduma Murari' and 'Janaki Ramudu'. Murari expressed concern that the earlier producers used to rely only on their story and then try to locate the director and the cast. Now it is completely different which is one of the strong reasons for the failures being witnessed in the film industry.

The book was released during the platinum jubilee celebrations of Telugu cinema. Dasari Narayana Rao, who occasionally asks producers not to run after big heroes for dates but instead make films economically at low cost with talented actors, appreciated the producer's effort."
